Stuff I've lost.

I can't find my scissors. I had quite a few pairs, although some of them were Koneko's so I gave them back the other week. Still, I should have quite a few pairs floating about! I'm sure I saw my normal kitchen ones just a few days ago...

Memory stick. My work one with all my software on. It's also got message traces I'm supposed to be looking at. It was around my damned neck on a ribbon the last time I actually remember using it. I've got my personal one with nothing important on; just can't find my work one <!--emo&<_<--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/dry.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='dry.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I think the cat has a stash somewhere <!--emo&:fish:--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/4013/140/emo/laughing-fish.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laughing-fish.gif' /><!--endemo-->

On the plus side; I found the battery pack I'd lost. I think it must have just been on the bed in the spare room which Cirrus cleared off to sleep on because it's now on the bench where it should be! Either that, or I just didn't recognise it because it has tape and wires stuck on...

I have 100 screwdrivers, but I can never find a number 4 Philips <!--emo&<_<--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/dry.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='dry.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I have a 00 and a 0 and then my next one is huge, like about a 10 or something <!--emo&:blink:--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/blink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='blink.gif' /><!--endemo-->

That's why God invented 13mm.

Close enough! <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Last night I managed to lose my ability to make fire.

Like most smokers, I usually have a vast array of lighters, matches and what have you. So I wasn't worried when my zippo ran out (and I didn't have any more fuel for it). No problem, where's a lighter...

I hunted everywhere in the place, couldn't find a single one. :angry: I emptied all my drawers, all the random boxes of crap I have lying around, nothing. I braved the cold to go out and check the car, nothing there either. Getting desperate now! <!--emo&:o--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='ohmy.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Just before I'd resigned myself to driving to the petrol station to get a new lighter, I had a brainwave: WD40 + dead zippo = fire. <!--emo&:aha:--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/4013/140/emo/aha.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='aha.gif' /><!--endemo--> Well, enough to light a fag with, anyway.

Don't smoke, kids: This is what it reduces you to. <!--emo&:shame:--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/4013/140/emo/shame.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='shame.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I destroyed Cirrus's Acorn Electron 18V PSU lighting a ciggy back in about 1989.

Volts + Pencil lead = Fire

It's great - until you fuse the transformer windings <!--emo&:shame:--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/4013/140/emo/shame.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='shame.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I've also used deoderant + Zippo <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Later I used electric fires.

Now I have a cooker. Gas or electric works; except the ceramic ones. They fail in every way - it even takes about an hour to boil a kettle on one!

I bought tabs again this week, and a lighter <!--emo&:shame:--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/4013/140/emo/shame.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='shame.gif' /><!--endemo-->

But I can look forward to giving up again in the new year! <!--emo&:aha:--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/4013/140/emo/aha.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='aha.gif' /><!--endemo-->

lighting a ciggys easy just use a 9v battery and some fine fuse wire (and watch the fingers because it will scar)

Personally, I find it easier to use a lighter. Or matches, at a pinch. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Or WD40 which is how we got started on this <!--emo&:lol:--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/laugh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I light the BBQ with WD40. It's the best thing ever <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I find lighting a fag with a petrol lighter always makes the first drag taste funny anyway. Never stopped me though <!--emo&:lol:--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/laugh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I actually quite like that taste.

My favourite taste, though, is from matches. Mmm, sulphuricious! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
