Throwing Stuff Away

Post by JJW009 »

There is one cupboard in the kitchen mostly full of chocolate and biscuits. I noticed yesterday that a lot of it is out of date already, and on closer inspection today I observed a mouldy growth in all three jars of chocolate spread - including the hazelnut one which I was rather hoping would still be good!

So today I'm throwing away about two pounds in weight of chocolate spread, sweet jelly things and biscuits. The biscuits are going to the birds so they're not a total loss. I really hate wasting food, but since I'm on a diet I shouldn't even try to eat them...

The only surviving things are about a kilo of chocolate bars (mint, milk and white), a Twix and an Aero. They're all out of date, but I think they're still edible. They're mostly not even opened.

Anyone else had to throw away wasted stuff that made them want to weep..?
