So this straggly cat has been nicking Jess's food. It's not just this cat, there's also blackbirds, hedgehogs and a dozen other cats - but this one is seriously hungry and eat as much as it can get!

So, I've bought a 40p box of cheap cat food and started feeding it. Jess now eats indoors where it's slightly safer.

The question is... since this is not my cat, should I be feeding it? The poor thing looks so thin and scruffy I'm assuming it's a stray, or worse just neglected.

What would you do, and more importantly - what should I do?

Thank you <!--emo&:fish:--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/4013/140/emo/laughing-fish.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laughing-fish.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Perhaps you should take a picture - preferably not one of it stealing Jess's tea - and ask your neighbours if anybody knows who's cat it is?

Given how neglected it is, it is clearly not getting care elsewhere. I would say that you either need to take it in or take it to your local Cats Protection place.

Personally, I would actually suggest talking to the latter either way, as you really need to get it checked over, in particular for things like FIV etc, which you probably don't want to be giving to Jess.

I voted Curry and Pie as curry pie is indeed a delicacy
