The Help forum had over 9000 threads recently asking about how to do back-ups. I'm thinking of writing an FAQ giving the various options, software, hardware etc.



I'm after ideas. What do you guys actually use, and what would you use if you had more money or will-power to do it?



I have 2 500GB drives which in theory back up to each other. I also back up my music between the media centre and the main PC, and my work gets backed up to USB stick, old work PC and laptop. Emails are all backed up on Gmail.



In practice, I do backups every... mumble mumble so often, but I don't really have a lot of "New" stuff to cry over. I've not taken a decent photo for years, and I don't care about my work stuff!

Most of my work is backed up on servers in either the form of emails or websites that are online.



I am in the process of setting up a backup system for the client that revolves around Acronis and a Western Digital MyBook 1Tb RAID 0 jobbie.
