This attractive young lady is a far more devoted Hindu than I:

"Bhaktivedanta Manor in Watford, Hertfordshire. Up to 72,000 people were expected to take part in the two-day festival celebrating the birth of Krishna, in what is believed to be the largest Hindu festival gathering outside of India."

That's quite a few people. I was mostly being an intergalactic Mexican Viking at the time though...

That used to be (well, probably still is!) a little way down the road from where I used to work. I went up there a couple of times, when they held open days. It's an odd place, not the sort of building you'd imagine when you think of a Hare Krishna temple at all.

Still, the people there are great and the food is awesome! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I've watched some youtubes and read quite a few blogs about various festivals, but I've never been to any anywhere. Rather stupid of me really, considering they even let you in <!--emo&:P--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/tongue.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tongue.gif' /><!--endemo-->

*note to self* - probably not considered good etiket to spend the entire festival letching or filming young maidens. At least, not without asking first.

LOL, probably not!

It's also probably not good etiket to go in and make a beeline for the food. But we did. <!--emo&:shame:--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/4013/140/emo/shame.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='shame.gif' /><!--endemo--> To be fair, we did all donate, so I suppose you could say it's an 'all you can eat for a tenner' buffet! <!--emo&--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/laugh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I don't remember many young maidens when I was there, but a) this was some years ago, and my definition of 'young' is probably different to now <!--emo&<_<--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/dry.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='dry.gif' /><!--endemo--> , and 2) I went up there in the company of a couple of rather attractive South African girls, so my attention may have been elsewhere. <!--emo&--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/4013/140/emo/eusa_whistle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='eusa_whistle.gif' /><!--endemo-->

To be fair, there were only two attractive painted ladies in all the pictures... but there were many more in my head <!--emo&--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/laugh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' /><!--endemo-->
