I read it on the BBC so it's true. The kitsch woolly pully is what all the glamorous people are wearing:

Until recently no fashionista would be seen dead in seasonal patterned knitwear, but now the kitsch style is a must-have for designers and celebrities alike.


Does this explain some of the outfits I've seen on TV recently? Were they being worn "ironically"? Or were they truly being worn to honour aunties and grannies in the bravest possible way?

I heard something similar on the radio last week, I reckon most of them are being worn ironically. I know I never would, regardless of how "fashionable" they become, mostly because I'm too big for that type of thing, but also because they are mostly done in hideous colours!
