I've just sorted out my travel insurance - despite travelling to some decidedly dodgy parts of the world in the past, I've never really bothered before. But my friend has tol me she won't let me go without it.

?6.76 for the policy - I can live with that! Some companies were quoting 10 times that.. <img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/blink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='blink.gif' />

I've just printed off the policy document - all 39 pages of it! I think it cost more to print the policy out than it did to buy it! <img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/laugh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' />

I paid ?10 insurance for a ?50 week in France - first time I've ever bought it, not even sure what it covered! I took the email with me, but didn't notice 'till later there was a massive pdf attachment... which I still haven't read <img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/blink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='blink.gif' />

Be careful with those sites though - with some companies, they'll quote you the cheapest possible option, and then when you go to their site you discover the quote goes through the roof with all the 'options' you need to add on if you want it to actually cover anything! <img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='rolleyes.gif' />

I've also just discovered that I should be taking malaria tablets for the trip - which I need to start taking about a week before the trip. Oops.
