I've just been down the pub tonight with a friend of mine - it's her birthday next week. She's getting depressed about turning 24! She seems to think that's old.

Now, I'm 32, and I don't feel old at all. I put that down to that fact that I'm not married (anymore), I don't have kids, or any of that stuff. Really, I feel as 'old' as I did in my early twenties.

Bearing in mind most of us here are about the same age range, what are your opinions? Is age down to a number? Or is it down to the way you live your life?

Personally, I'll keep up this lifestyle until it's not fun anymore - be that next year, or when I'm 70. I'll keep having fun and doing what I feel like, for as long as I feel like it. I've never really subscribed to that whole marriage, mortgage, kids by your thirties stuff, and I feel a lot better for it.

Discuss.

I'm 37, and every birthday feels like one closer to 40!

If I actually was married with a couple of kids, then I don't think the age would bother me. Problem is, being real - time is running out.

I want to marry a nice girl and to have a couple of kids; and I'd quite like to see my grand children at least born. I don't like aging; it brings wrinkles and incontinence and death

That said; age is no reason to stop enjoying yourself; far from it! What we shouldn't be doing is procrastinating our lives away!!! Whatever makes you happiest, that's what you should probably be doing. Unless you want to look back at your life and think "My, that was boring..."

I mainly don't worry about my age and feel like I'm in my twenties most of the time. However I am finding myself thinking more and more about it.

There are plenty more fish in the sea, get your tackle out and see what bites.

Divers go deeper and stay down for longer.
