Thanks to the Omnipotent Nilknarf for discovering this little gem. Most PCs these days support wake-on-lan which is why they don't really switch off when they're told too. They're still listening to the lan (and the USB and PS2 probably) for a wake-up command.



This application will send the wake-up command to any PC. Simple but genious! You can even do it over the interweb if you set up your router. I'm sure there must be a use for that!

Nilknarf posted a link to his mirror of the command line version; which I Googled and came up with this site. I played around with it for a bit, then put this thread up.



I noticed you posted that too, but Nilknarf posted it first - I hadn't seen your post when I did this :P
