shame on you! anime is japanese cartoon like manga sortof thing its like p?kemon but better anime originates from nippon (japan) :P

so what's a good film to start with then? nothing too weird or freaky please!



(in other words, be gentle with me, it's my first time!)



i've always liked the concept, just never really got into it before (never had the chance really)

Anything by Studio Ghibli would be a good start. The Official Website is all in Japanese though...



There are other sites like This One



I think Spirited Away is probably the best to start with. It was a huge international hit. I've got it on DVD and I've seen it at the Cinema too. You should find it in BlockBuster or wherever <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://i6.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->



I prefer to watch the DVD because they showed the dubbed version on the big screen. It doesn't look right when American voices come out of Anime charactors <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://i6.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->



The thing to remember is, all Anime are different. Just like Dr. Who is nothing like Hollyoaks... Spirited Away is a fantasy; there are lots of other genre.

If you like spirited away, I would recommend giving Metorpolis a go.
