It's a bit geeky, so I'll summarise. It's actually a bit of PHP (server side script) that sends a randomly chosen image. PHPBB only accesps URLs with extensions that relate to images in them (.gif, .jpg etc), so I had to rename the php file index.gif and use an .htaccess file to tell the server to execute it as php.

Result: a random image displayed every time! Sadly, the effect I wanted (new image for each entry) doesn't seem possible, so you'll have to make do with a random image every page server instead.[/quote]

I've just had a brilliant idea!

This is what we need to do:

You know pg2114's sig?

We all need to copy that. Take a picture of our own faces, and just put a little piece of the picture in the sig, but use a different name, (using the same initials) and a completely random place as our location.

For example, I wouldn't put John Vella from Manchester.

I could be... Juan Valeras from Madrid. Or Janet Vandervelt from Mauritius. You get the idea <img src='http://i6.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' />

We would then have to change the segment of the picture and change the names and location, maybe once every 24 or 48 hours.

The thing is not to make an announcement. Just send out some invites over PM.

If we create say 5 id's at the same time, it would just be a case of updating the link.

What do you reckon guys?

I did consider 2114 as a potential target, but I suspect his sanity is in a dangerous balance and I'm unsure if it's a good idea.

1) He has been taking the piss this whole time and he'll secretly find it funny

2) He'll track us down one at a time like dogs and poison our tooth paste!

I have more faith in Monkey Boy's sense of humour... although... what's life without a little adventure

I'd have thought that giving him the attention he obviously needs, but in a fun way, as opposed to "Oi ! Galdys, or whatever your name is today!" would be a good way to lighten the mood and maybe stop some of the people over there from endlessly picking on him.

Don't get me wrong when I say that I'm happy for this nonsense to disappear, but as someone who is very forgiving and would be happy to flatten the water, there are others on the forum who would churn it up, possibly even more than it is.

I'm interested in what made pg2114 change his name. Did he honestly think enough time had passed that we'd forgotten his original name, or does he want us to know the truth and chose that opportunity knowing full well what would happen. There is just no certainty anymore.

He has certainly had plenty of attention in the past, and has quite simply refused to follow any of the advice. I know from experience that advice doesn't necessarily have to be followed but the same stuff was repeated continually.

No doubt I would still offer help when requested, regardless of the situation, but we all know the saying 'once bitten twice shy' don't we?
