Cheese

Post by JJW009 »

I bought lots of cheese for last weekend's RP session, but no one actually ate any. In fact one person positively turned their nose up at the idea!

I've just tasted the Camembert and I think it's delicious; unpasteurised creamy heaven.

It made me think, how about a cheese party? If everyone brought ~ ?1.50 worth each of their most favourite, then we'd theoretically end up with a wonderful variety of more cheese than we could eat. There would probably be enough left over for doggy-bags!

I'd provide healthy salads, fruit, fresh baked bread and of course biscuits. It might be the only meal I ever served on time! I could even invite some "grown-ups" to join in, and enjoy a glass or several of wine, ale or port.

If I did it Saturday afternoon then people could bring their kids / dogs if they wanted, and those who wished could drink into the night and sleep over.

So, would you come?

A cheese and wine party? I reckon I'd come to that. <!--emo&:good:--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/4013/140/emo/good.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='good.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Kitty overnighting notwithstanding it sounds like a great party concept <!--emo&:aha:--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/4013/140/emo/aha.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='aha.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Cheese and wine? Sounds a bit posh that. Would we have to pretend to be interested in opera and stuff? <!--emo&:lol:--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/laugh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Sounds good, I'd be up for that. We've been dying for an excuse to buy some more cave aged cheddar from, well, Cheddar. It's lovely but not exactly cheap! <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->
