so the question for debate is : do we really love or just depend on partners !!!

In all seriousness though, it's a tricky one. Several thousand years of mankinds' greatest thinkers haven't been able to come up with a good answer yet. As for the love/dependancy thing, it's definately love for me. I consider myself to be a very independant person, and haven't really relied on anyone for anything since I left home at 19.

i prob dont mean it how it sounds ..........erm when i say depend i mean dont mean for things i mean would u really die for someone ??? me no def not the only two people id die for is my kids so id most def say i love them , guess its a hard one ??? i think to say u love someone its unconditional n i got conditions when it comes to my relationship

I like relationships, but as long as they're on my terms (or at least, terms that I'm happy with), which kinda precludes your definition of love.

Essentially, I like to have a bit of my own space, and the idea of sharing my whole life with someone frankly scares me a little bit! I think that's partly what ended my marriage, TBH.

lol.............thats why i ask the qustion theres so many different answers i guess n my answer is a bit extreme !!!! dont u think its strange how differently people view things mind u life would be pretty boring if we all thought the same !

I think your question is very wise!!! You asked it before and I didn't answer at once because it's not an easy question...

Love to me is Life... it is what we search for, what dreams are made for, it is the only thing that gives true comfort in life.

Love for your mother, love for your friends, love for your children... love for kittens... there are different kinds of love - but they are all the most important things in life!

What you ask is love for your partner I think... well; there are different kinds.

For me... love can be dependency... because love is the heart of my world. When two people can look into each other and know that they are safe. They can trust completely. They don't want anything more than to hold each other. They depend on each other totally and without doubt.

The thing that kills me most about not being with my ex... is that I can't protect her. I know she's not some little fluffy baby kitten, she can look after herself ... but I want to be sure! I don't want anything to hurt her!

Loving is Caring for someone so much you'd die to protect them.

But with a partner... it's more than that.

Love is wanting the same future together. Sharing the same dreams. Wanting the same thing for your children.

Love is the other half who makes you whole.

Although I probably missed your point, I think you missed mine a bit....

when I said I don't rely on anyone, that means emotionally as well - I spent many years living alone before I got married, and I guess I got used to that!

So while I do need people around me, I don't think I'll ever be dependant on any one person in particular.

if that makes sense....

I'm sorry... but really, I think that IS love...

Developing an emotional dependency... growing in each other until you find trust and faith. Giving yourself, your soul, in absolute belief of the bond you share.

If two people are to live as one, then they will be dependant.

I am "Man" ... without "Woman" that is all I am. Together we are family... and with no family, there is no future.

I want babies... well... one at least! I can't create a new life without total faith in my partner. A new life deserves the most two humans can bring, and that is love!
