yo,
i found out my mini holds alot more fuel than i thought. i wanted to change the last fuel pipe so i stuck a small bowl under the pipe. now i had run the car till the fuel gauge was 3/4 of the way thro the red. thinking "tis but a mear dribble of Fuel left, shall be no preblem...eth" so i proceded to slash the pipe open. then to my surpire about oooooow 8 quids worht of petrol sprewed out. to the sounds of me going "fu*k, fu*k, fuel arse". then ran upstairs to get a bigger jug and lost lots of petrol.
the morel of this tale. get someone else to change your fuel lines.

lol... it's not quite as bad as getting a mouth full of oil or worse, break fluid I guess!
Cost you more than ?8 in labour, so I recon you still saved money & you learned a valuable lesson in the process!

its a bit sluggish. could be all the crap in the boot. but i'll gice it all a few days then see how it go's

Next time have a can of petrol spare and run the tank dry.

I've had similar experiences with oil. As the mini/metro engine oil is shared with the gearbox there is over 5L in the sump. It only just fitted into the container I was using, but couldn't dare move it until some had been removed.
