Valentines Day

So it's valentines day in a couple of weeks. This time last year, me and the good lady K were all sickeningly lovey dovey and there were restaurants, roses, chocolate and jewellery etc...

This year I'm going to be the Emo' from hell, probably get quite drunk and maybe have a big bonfire in the back garden. I have a tree to burn - this is a crap picture, but you can make it out laying on the back lawn:

You can also see the new fence panel I put up a couple of weeks ago, kinda sticks out a bit... but I digress!

I was thinking of maybe making an effigy of myself and lady K, very much like the ones you put on a wedding cake, and burning it on the fire like a guy. Very Expensive, but fun <img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/laugh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' />

What do you guys have planned? Any fun recommendations for a single bloke? Or are you just gonna pretend there's no such thing?

Well it's a Wednesdays so probly Cisco and reading johnny the homicidal maniac.

Actually, my new computer bits should be here by then. I got an nVidia 6200 with passive cooling for the media centre - that's the PC Koneko was using until it died.

I can hopefully get that up and running, install ParaParaParadise and dance like a big girl while drinking my home-brew wine which should be alcoholic, if not entirely clear by then <img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/laugh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' />

I also ordered a 500GB USB drive to transfer all my crap onto, so I can reformat and instal windows XP. What fun!

Finally, I got a wall mount bracket for the TV. I don't even know if its the right shape, but it was ?10 and I have drills... it's gonna be fun trying to mount it anyway. My 26" TFT is the biggest, heaviest and most expensive thing I've ever bought except the house - and I'm still paying for that!

It's a shame, because I've just bought a whole load (3 boxes worth) of old engine parts, all of which need to be cleaned up, identified and checked for condition. Then I'll just stick the crap I don't need back on e-bay.

I've also got an autojumble to go to on the 11th, so I'll probably end up with another bootful of rare, preloved classic car parts (or 'filthy junk' as my GF likes to call it) to sort out!

So much crap, so little time - I don't have time to waste on pointless stuff like eating! <img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='rolleyes.gif' />

I will be lamenting. Because its fun. And I will be on suicide watch too. Because no-one likes emo's at Valentines.
