My office is going on a Jolly to a karting event on the evening of the 18th October.

I've only been once before at an indoor track so this one with tarmac should be much better. It's a 900m track in Esher so at least we don't have to travel too far and we'll get to leave work early.

I never used the MK track and the last time I looked at it was ten years ago, but it is outdoors and relatively short, as in <500m. The only time I've been Karting before was at an indoor track at White City in 1994, I had the fastest lap for a while but got black-flagged later on. <img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/laugh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' />

Anyway the only trouble I imagine with an outdoor circuit at this time of year is that it will be cold and could be wet.

I reckon I caught this cold as a result of the karting. Was worth it though, well if it doesn't hang around for too long.

As for sobering up, I did that in the store room / library we have by means of a two hour snooze.

Well it has now been a week since I went and I am just about getting over the cold. I found it hard to get up this morning though and instead of a runny nose I now have the really sticky and stringy snot stuck in my nasal cavity. you know the sort, the ones you just can't get rid of. Also the skin around my nostrils is dry and flaking. Must resist urge to pick.
