I've been thinking about this.

Coming from your house, my place is a heck of a detour. How would you too feel about meeting us there? It would mean one of you not drinking, but you'd have the advantage of arriving as early as you liked and we could give you some petrol money instead of getting a cab back to silly central?

Oh, and to answer your questions!

With no traffic, it's about 12 miles and takes 20 minutes. We'd have to allow 40 minutes with the traffic and parking. I guess actually that's not such a big detour, but it does add a lot of time for you because you'd use the M40 most of the way if you went direct.

Personally, I'm not that fussed about anything before 11:25 but if you do want to come here first and get there for the minis you're looking at a 6:30am start to ensure you're here for the cab at 8am <img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/blink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='blink.gif' />

The Saturday concerts are absolute rubbish. Ruth Lorenzo is quite hot, but she clashes with the most important race of the day!

I guess we'll be out of there about 20:13 before Jedward start.

I do need to book the cabs soon, so let me know what you think?

I also need to contact other potential members of the gang to determine how many seats are needed. Hmm. I really should do that soon <img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/dry.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='dry.gif' />

It seems kinda pointless to drive all the way to your place just to go back almost in the direction we came in. Besides, I'm not getting out of bed at 6:30 for anything!

I don't know about Mrs R, but likewise, I have no interest whatsoever in the concerts. We can get much better music in the comfort of silly central, where the drinks are cheaper and I've actually heard of (most of) the bands (I had to google Jedward <img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/laugh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' /> ).

It does all depend on the number of people coming though; both our cars are big enough to seat five easily; six is doable if you all get on well! <img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/laugh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' /> Any more and another taxi will be needed for the way home. Well that's you sorted then. The rest is up to me!

KW did offer, all be it drunkenly, to drive us there. That would allow for plenty of additional people. However we'll sort that out between ourselves.

That all sounds fairly organised then.

I'm going to see if Mr Red will let me get him there for the hot rod shoot outs at 9am, but it's not looking good so far, perhaps we'll have to meet you there at 10am in time for the touring cars and we'll stay until we've seen everything we want to see.

I'm not bothered about the music either but the Italian Stallions are running until 20:00, I'd also like to catch the Pre 1956 Sports Cars Woodcote Trophy race at 15:45 <img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/4013/140/emo/aha.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='aha.gif' />

...and yet another option I only just thought of!

If "The Reds" can make it to mine on Friday night, we can all have an uncommonly sensible night and that will make the morning journey a lot shorter. I wont really have time to cook anything, so between 9 and 10pm would be good in time for a quiet pint of DOOM bar at the local?

I've been thinking about cab v car and it would be more convenient if one of us drove there rather than having to stick to a strict time table, but obviously it depends on a generous soul doing all the peddling and none of the drinking. Since I'm not volunteering, there's no obvious reason why any of you guys should either!

I've finally emailed Zabz to see if she can make it. It's ridiculous it took me 90 minutes to write a half a page message which didn't say half of what I wanted to say, but I'm really awkward when it comes to "dating" <img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/4013/140/emo/shame.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='shame.gif' />

I've also emailed Cirrus, who may or may not come with or without his entire family or parts there of. I think possibly the 48 hour notice may have been a bit late, but we'll see. Yeah I don't see why that wouldn't work. Right, so we don't need to get up until 07:30 and out of the house by 8am. That'll give us time to get there, parked and into the stands in time for the NSA Hot Rod event. OK, it rather looks like Silverstone is impossible to get to by public transport so I'm now rather unsure as to how it's going to work out for Zabz. Was I crazy to think there would simply be a bus from London..?

I've made a few suggestions, most of which involve picking her up from MK central at some stage. I'll let you know what's decided when I know!
