The Wired

Yesterday to get from circular quay to manly I took the manly ferry, a nice relaxing 30 min trip across the harbour. It was sunny outside and a lot of passengers wanted to sit on the outer deck. One girl came and sat next to me and when the angle was right asked the person next to her to take her photo with the opera house and harbour bridge in the background. When we'd reached a different angle she then asked me to take her photo, so I obliged as anyone would.



After that moment she then proceeded to take pictures of herself like all the camwhores on the internet do. Side on, looking away from the cam and pretending that someone else is taking the picture. It was so hard not to laugh, but luckily the exhaustion prevented me from splitting at the sides.

I've never seen the point of holiday snaps like that - 99% of my holiday pics don't have me in them at all - the fewer people the better IMO.

I guess it justifies spending an hour every morning painting your face.
