Gah! I hate that......

I keep getting this at work with Exel - usually when I have about half a dozen different spreadsheets open, none of which are saved.

I lost about 4 hours work because of that once

(Yes, yes, I know I should have saved at regular points, but even so.....)

With Pro/E, you're working away when suddenly, for no obvious reason, it just vanishes! No handy AutoCAD-like "we encountered a problem and need to shut down - do you want to save your work upto the start of the last command?" (a great feature that...), No Firefox/MSoffice like "we apologise for the inconvenience" (even Marvin appreciated that). Nothing! Gone as if it was never there...

Anyone ever used UnrealEdII for Unreal Tournament GOTY?

Its the most buggy bit of editing sodware I have ever used. Great, but so, so crap at the same time. It doesnt ask you to save when you quit. It doesnt autosave. Set some code wrong and your up rayburn creek with no paddle and a canoo with a hole in it. Set a brush wrong and it'll tell you to take the last couple of hours and cram them up where the sun dont shine. And then itll probably spout a built leak completely spontaniouly.

Damn Damn Damn Damn Damn!!! And I decided to do my Ernie coursework in it

I binned Norton last night because it wouldn't let me fold.

So I installed Zone Alarm...

...which decided that my Network adapter needed to go into the Internet Zone

So I installed Agnitum Outpost instead. It works beautifully.

six hours wasted
