Monster Pets

Rather than hijack the lurve thread with talk of, what sound like abnormally large pets, I've started this thread for just that reason.

Adam, do you have any pictures of your rat?

The 2 foot length you mention, is that excluding the tail. <img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/ninja.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='ninja.gif' />

I've got two monster cats in the UK, they are staying with my parents as I'm in Oz.

Jarvis is very tall and long, though not overly large. When I'm preparing food he'll have both front paws on the worksurface and can almost see over the top. Sylvester looks small next to Jarvis, but large next to any other cat.

Jarvis is a monster because he catches rabbits, eats the head, and leaves the carcass for my parents to dispose of, unless the local foxes get it first. He's had well over 70 this year (2005). Sylvester chases the foxes. What gets me is that my mum doesn't like them going out at night because of the foxes.

This is a picture of Jarvis when he was still quite young. He is surrounded by an ex-pigeon that looks like it had detonated.

All I've got at the moment is fish, the largest of which is about 4 inches long - not exactly a monster!

And before that I had a dog - a chihuahua! (don't laugh!)

Quite the opposite of monstericityness.

I like fish, very relaxing to watch. It's even better when you are in the 'tank' with them though.

This is a 6' Maori Wrasse, these things are enormous.

Oooh, Chinchilla, the bastard offspring of Godzilla.

Those things are fast, furry and cute. IIRC each hair splits into 64 sub-hairs to aid insulation in their home environment of the Andes.

i rember once he got a sticker stuck to him. fu*k me he was fast then. he was doing laps around the back of the sofa. it was insane. i had to catch him before somthing happend. he's still a cool little fluff ball.
