Had a phone call from my Dad this morning. My cat has been missing for 24hrs.

He phones back 5 mins later, oh don't worry he's just turned up. :angry: :angry: :angry:

There are plenty more fish in the sea, get your tackle out and see what bites.

Divers go deeper and stay down for longer.

Only 24 hours?

Our cat used to go missing for days on end! <!--emo&:huh:--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/huh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='huh.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I think his record was just under 2 weeks, then he came strolling back into the house one day, as if nothing had happened.... <!--emo&:rolleyes:--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='rolleyes.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Anyway, I finally managed to get a piccie of the boss fish in my tank (Harder than it sounds, my fish are extremely camera-shy):

<img src='http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y39/re ... nloach.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'>

I've got 2 of them, but he's definately the boss. He rules that tank with an iron erm, fin. <!--emo&:ph43r:--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/ninja.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='ninja.gif' /><!--endemo-->

He also cut my finger once when I was swapping tanks, that was how I discovered these fish have razor-sharp barb thingys on their head. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

The cat has been missing for up to a week before, we'd given up hope of seeing him again as we lived next to a very busy road.

It was the initial, 'we've got some bad news about your cat' line that made me angry. It should have been worded better, like 'it's only been 24 hours but we haven't seen your cat'.

Anyhoo, great markings on the fish, it gives the body more of a shark like appearance. <!--emo&:ph43r:--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/ninja.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='ninja.gif' /><!--endemo-->

cool fish,

my mate calum had a fish he......er......."rescued" it (his words) from a pond and kept it in a tank in his room for about 6 month the only reasion it died is because the water had turned black and nasty. he had been giving the fish beer too.

Um, yeah, that'd do it..... <!--emo&:rolleyes:--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='rolleyes.gif' /><!--endemo-->

If I ever have to 'euthanise' a fish (basically, if it's going to die anyway), my preferred method is to take them out of the tank, and put them in a half-and-half vodka and water solution, they basically go to sleep and never wake up!

If I had to choose a way to die, that'd be somewhere at the top of my list! <!--emo&B)--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/cool.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='cool.gif' /><!--endemo-->

How considerate, once they've gone do you flush or bury?

My parents property is like a pet cemetary.

I flush, I'm not sentimental.

They're fish, after all, I think they'd prefer a watery(ish) grave.

(That's my excuse anyway!)

I thought I'd show you pictures of Koneko's pussy :P

Also, here is Koneko with Tarn, a lesser bloated short limbed spaniel with a broken spring... a kind of Anti-Tigger if you will!

And here is a rare beast indeed; you can see moving stealth like, but kinda wobbly in the background. His usual prey is Whisky and Curry :P
