OK, so I'm playing a game (GT Legends, highly recommended, BTW!), and, after much trying, I finally managed to win a race that I'd been struggling with for most of the evening.



As my car is doing a victory lap, I'm using the shift key to change views, when all of a suden, the game disappears, my desktop appears, along with a message asking me if I'd like to turn on 'sticky keys'. <!--emo&<_<--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/dry.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='dry.gif' /><!--endemo-->



Umm, no, I wouldn't, thanks. Go away.



So I closed that, and then all of a sudden, this little beauty comes up:

That sort of thing happens to me all of the time. I can remember the first like it was yesterday.



Way back in the days of the ZX Spectrum 48k I was playing a game called River Raid.

I was having one of those sessions where you are in 'the zone', you know the one. Absolutely unbeatable, at one with the machine.

Anyway I had been playing for about 80 mins and had reached the very last level when the game screen started pixelating and then froze. Arrrrrgggghhhh.

I can look back at it now and laugh. almost.

GTL is indeed a great game, it's nice to see a driving game that actually requires some driving skill and technique (for example, in professional mode, you even have to do your own clutch control!).

For anyone who hasn't learned yet...



Press the Shift key 5 times really quickly... a box pops up. Press "Settings" and dissable the shortcut in the Sticky Keys Settings.



At one stage I had the *Start* key dissabled for the same reason... it tends to bring you back to Windows when you really really don't want it too..!!
