bugger - the pain

i've just smashed open my finger at work. no big deal as i can now relax for the rest of the day. but i am stuck here typing with one hand while the blood clots.



it stings a bit and looks worse than it is, but in 20 mins or so i'll be applying the superglue i have in my backpack. i keep it handy at all times for occasions just such as this.



superglue is even more handy as i need to go diving tomorrow and it keeps the wound clean and dry. it's about the only useful thing to result from the vietnam war.



hehe that'll teach me.

I think I read that superglue was invented to replace field stitches; I'd forgotten when, where or who etc. along with any other details though...



I'm sure it's on the Wiki but Too Busy Working to look right now... ahem... honestly!

I'd read that too somewhere i'm sure. As it also says 'bonds skin and eyes in seconds' on the tube I'd thought i'd try it. And have been doing so ever since.

The main active ingredient is methylisocyanate. This is the stuff that killed thousands of Indians in Bhopal. I'm sure JJ and Redeyes will remember that, and even Adam and Brataccas should have heard of it.
