Right, I've heard of Sailor Moon a few times but what is it all about?

The reason I ask is that whilst searching for an unrelated picture I find these two pictures.

Sailor Moon is an anime about the Bishoujo Sailor Senshi (Pretty Guardian), lol - you have Broad Band - watch it!

That is the live action version - basically a PANTOMIME and its very funny. I can't link to the anime because I think it is all licensed now. In any other country it would be on TV. Me and KW have watched it in Dutch!

dear sweet jebus. not sailor moon. its bad. i like to think of it as the most sucessful non poplar series ever. didn't really make it out side japan but a few otaku's and various other sorts (jj for exsample) seem to love it.



its messed up. talking cats and ditz blond girls.......well the american english version she sounds ditzy.

It made it big in America, and most of Europe.



In the American dub all the names are changed into western ones and none of the jokes make any sense... there are lots of puns of things like Sailormoon being a Rabbit, because her name is Usagi ie Japanese for Rabit. In the American version she is called Serina or Selene or something... like... WTF!? She's the Ditzy one btw...



Don't watch it expecting high class anime because it isn't. Its more like Topcat or something... except Topcat was much better and had even more talking cats in.

Ive finaly fallen too deep into the anime hole to go back. now with 90gb of anime (only 12gb space left now) and many hours watching i intend to get round to sailor moon. i remember seeing it breifly on tunami a few years back.
