yay got a job interview tommrow.

sweet a job. i may finaly become a functioning meaber of the human kind. really hope i get it. its justs a cleaning jib but sod its a job.

for a cleaning job at the somerfeild bakery. so nothing huge but the hours are perfect for me. 7pm - 10pm and 6pm - 9pm so 3 hours a day not to bad for me and i can still do my college and what have you.

they sodding staffed it before i even got to the interview. why dose this crap always happen to me. eveythime i try for a job. don't even get a sodding invterview.

but this happens on evey job i apply fro. i either get the crappy letter or nothing back. don't get an interview or anything.

it just sucks.

Do you apply directly or wait until you hear of a vacancy?

If you apply for 10 positions that don't exist then you'll already be on the books for when they do.

i use the 3 trys rule. i apply for places 3 time then give up. theni also look thro the paper when it out on thurday.

i've apply to:

tesco

B&Q

sansburys

summerfeilds

asda

coopers

three times each. well tescos and coopers like 5 time as i would like to work there. then thursday rolls around and i look thro the advertiser for jobs. write off to them then get the letter saying you have been unsucesful blah blah.

i tryed one but not many have alot of part time stuff. well i tryed one once and they never said anything to me. might have to try again.

Don't limit yourself to a small selection of jobs, as once you are in somewhere you will generally be considered for other roles internally before they are advertised externally. As you already know.

Also iirc from when I was at risk of losing my job 7 years ago, 90% of all jobs available and filled, are never advertised to the public. That's why it is important to apply for stuff that you don't know exists.
