Yea, cant see why, i got a .22 normal air rifle, i like it, i would love a bolt action one, also would like a pre gassed charged multi shot one, would be ace.

I was using it today and able to hit a post at 100 yards. Not bad considering the experience I have. The issue now is compensating for the fall because of the slope I am firing down, and gravity. I've got some rabbits/pheasants/squirrels on the other side of the valley at 200 yards which my cat wants to eat.

Sick Bastard

The cat brought me a mouse today and before he could eat it I confiscated it to use as ballistic jelly.

It was only from around 10 yards but when the first pellet hit the carcass jumped almost a foot into the air and another one backwards whilst performing a double back somersault with a twist. My first investigation showed the flat nosed hobby pellet had gone straight through and some lower intestines were bulging out of the exit. <img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='ohmy.gif' />

I remounted the mouse (that sounds bad) and then had a go with the heavier superpoint pellet. Again the mouse performed some wonderful aerial manouvres. As this pellet was pointed it had gone straight through without causing massive wounding and the entry/exit were hard to find.

My conclusion of this experiment is that although the superpoints have superior penetrative power they lack the stopping power of hobby pellets.

Disclaimers:

No living animals were harmed during this experiment. Although Jarvis was a little distressed when I stole his lunch.

Even though the lead went straight through I made the carcass inaccessible to the cats as I don't want the heavy metals making them any more insane.

Somehow I forgot to take photos.

The wife and I picked up Jarvis and Sylvester in Milton Keynes back in 98. They moved to Southampton with us in 99, and in 04 when we moved to Oz my parents agreed to look after them. There was a third cat in the litter but we never saw him/her. Shame really as they are the best cats ever.

What is Bulgarians finest? I would hazard a guess at vodka.

That actually sounds better than Good French Red of my parents which I drink. It is ?10 per 3L cask ( <img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/laugh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' /> ) but only 10ish%. Alcohol wise you have better value and I'm paying for it in calories. <img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/laugh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' />

I wish they'd do decent wine in boxes for a good price. All the half-decent stuff is actually cheaper in bottles, so what's the point!

I have some Claret which is only 12% but it's the cheap one from Tesco and again it was only ?2.75 a bottle!
