Well it's taken about 4 hours but I have finally done it.

1. installed the software, music etc. from backups

2. located the USB adapter for the dance mats

3. Discovered one mat is fcuked and plugged the other one in... Aargh, that's annoying - I can't play doubles now <img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' />

4. Discovered the USB adapter didn't work properly. Tried all 3, got confused about which was which and went with what drivers...

5. Worked out which one actually works properly with DDR

6. I have the disk for both the other adapters, but not that one - and the company has gone bust!

7. Located drivers on the DDR UK website

8. Re-mapped all the keys

9. W00t! Success! And much sweating... I now have perfect scores on a few easy levels <img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' />

Man that was hard work. I'm going to have to fix the broken pad though, because it's not much fun taking it in turns. Maybe I'll take it to bits and give it a solid backing while I'm in there trying to solder ickle wires onto plastic pads...

Now to get the ParaPara working. These had bloody better still work after I paid almost ?100 importing the damn things!!!

I miss Para Para...;_;

And it didnt cost almost ?100 if i recall....it was more like ?50 for the para para.

I just checked - $110 ($70 + $40 postage) which was ?80 by the time it came out of my bank.

I shan't be. For one thing, this month has already been kinda expensive what with France and buying Euros etc... but also I've got the plumber guy coming at some very random time between Now and Monday night!! Dunno what that's gonna cost me, but I need to be here anyway.

Right now I'm gonna finish cooking my pasties, then go and do some gardening while it's still dry. Parapara is gonna have to wait until it rains!
