I'll definitely get it up for the party. I'll probably get it up later today actually, make sure I remember how to do it!

I turn my PC off now to save electric though, so I can't leave it running 24/7 like I used to. I wish the electric wasn't so darned expensive, then I'd run a separate server for everything. I've got all the hardware, just can't afford the juice!!

Damn, I don't remember it being so complicated!

It's nearly there, just need to add some bots to keep it busy...

I was too drunk to get it up; sorry shame.gif

If anyone fancies a quick mess about, give me a poke on MSN and if I'm free then I'll give you a good fragging laugh.gif

If I owned a copy of Quake then I would, although you would probably slaughter me.

I will eventually be moving over to the open-source version. At my current rate of website development, I expect it to be ready in early 2198 laugh.gif

Quake doesn't appear to work with Vista. Another damn good reason to downgrade to XP.

Does Doom work on Vista?

Someone once said something a bit like: "It's not a computer if it won't play Doom!"

I've even seen it running on a iPod with a hacked Linux firmware. OK, so it only managed about 1fps but still laugh.gif

Actually, the newer ones are pretty good at it!

*RESURRECTION*

Anyone up for some old-skool killing?

I don't have a gaming rig for more modern games, but OpenArena should run on anything less than 10 years old. I have access to a suitable server capable of handling sh!t loads of players. I also have the original Q3 disks somewhere so that's an option too, with the original maps we all know so well.

I'm thinking one Sunday. Not too soon; in a few weeks so we can get something good together.

I'll post on 404 if there's interest here.

Those with crap pings are welcome to stay at my place if they can make it biggrin.gif

It's kind of like Half Life, but multi player and very much old skool - I think it came out in the '90s sometime. huh.gif

JJ, I'd be up for that, I'm not sure how well our internets will hold up (90ms ping average dry.gif ) but it should probably be OK.
