I just bid on a K800i without thinking... it has 8 hours remaining and now I won't be able to sleep hoping someone else out-bids me!



I'm so pissed about loosing my beloved new phone to this stupid so-called upgrade that I've decided to shell out upto ?60 on one of my own. I don't even care if the damned phone works; I just want a small video and mp3 player which takes decent video. It seams that they all come with a free phone, so what the hell...

I've only ever done that once, it was on a set of hard to find carbs, starting bid of ?30. I put in a ?75 max, and got outbid by 20p. <!--emo&:rolleyes:--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='rolleyes.gif' /><!--endemo-->



Good thing as it turned out, after I lost the bid, I managed to get in contact with someone else selling the same thing but better condition for ?60.



But I do know someone who put in a ?10 bid on a rotten old TR7 for a joke - and won it! <!--emo&:o--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='ohmy.gif' /><!--endemo-->



If you do end up winning it, you can just stick it straight back on the bay - maybe make a bit of profit in the process.

I've just thought of another one that happened:



My girlfriend had just got herself a laptop, and was looking on ebay for a wireless ADSL router (she was borrowing my spare wired one).



Me: "I'm just nipping out for a smoke. Don't bid on anything until I've had a look"

Her: "OK"

*5 minutes later*

Her: "Ooh, you're back. Is this one any good? It's only ?15"

Me: "Er, no, that's just a router. You want one with an ADSL modem"

Her: "Oh. Er, I just bid on it"

Me: "..."

I had the opposite of that!



I bought an ADSL USB modem from Ebuyer for a friendly Scottish lass, and the dopey gits sent me a lovely D-link Wireless ADSL router instead! It's now working at CirrusMinor's house doing a grand job and I got the actual modem a few weeks later for about ?17 <!--emo&:lol:--><img src='http://i2.ifrm.com/html/emoticons/laugh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I've got some items I need to sell on eBay. I set up an account 5 months ago but never got around to doing it. I therefore have a few questions.



Is it easy to setup?

It's very easy to set up, you just need a credit card thats registered to your address.



No one will trust you if you try to sell anything expensive, but I've sold a couple of things on there for about ?2 without any bother. I now have feedback of about 20 or so because I keep buying stuff; that's the easy way to improve your rating.
